The Stroke, interlude: progress

This is a blog about friendship. But since I had a stroke, I’ve realized that if I were a friend, I’d share what I’ve learned with my friends. So here… we… go.

This week the recuperative process has accelerated a bit. Now I’m trying out a “quad cane,” a cane with four feet. This has only just happened, so another blog post. I am allowed to go all around this facility in a wheelchair (without supervision), and a fair distance with a walker (just keep an eye on me in case I fall). Now there’s this. Another step to home and hearth.

Just a few photos of me with the various things I get around in.

End interlude. Long way to go. This blog, previously dedicated to friendship, is doing stroke recovery for now. This is the most friendly thing I can do for the world.

Brilliant ! Nothing stands in your way. I’ve always liked that about you.

  2. I am incredibly impressed with the progress you are making. Seriously. You rock, dude.

  3. keep it up, doc. I look at myself, almost just like you. I can bear walked 9 years ago and now I can walk without a crane!
